DCTC Welcomes: Katie Solis, Marie Griffith, and Lily Hernandez
The Women's soccer program at Dakota County Technical College is excited to announce the signing of three players'.
Katie Solis: North High School
Katie, a natural forward will be looked upon to score goals and set up goals for others as she begins her collegiate career. Coach Mark Obarski said "Katie has the ability to work in tight areas of the field and create space for herself and others to create goal scoring opportunities."
Marie Griffith: Rosemount High School, Transfer from Minnesota State Moorhead
Marie, a midfielder will add stability and control in the midfield. She has played at a high level all through high school and club soccer and has some collegiate experience. "This experience will make her a valuable leader on the field," said coach Obarski. Griffith will score goals, but will also be a set up a person for the Blue Knights as well.
Lily Hernandez, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
Lily, a midfielder, has tremendous speed on the wing.
Coach Obarski, said that," she has the ability to beat the opposition down the line, but also can put the early ball across into the path of a forward." Hernandez will also be relied upon to score goals as well as set up others.
