Game #1 Highlights vs Lake Superior


4-2 W

- Team started strong in the first 5 minutes controlling the game before giving up their first counter attack which results in a PK, team went down 0-1.  

- Battled back to gain control of the match again and build a 3-1 lead off of goals by Freshman Kiley Bigger and Sydney Flannery (2 goals).  

- Lake Superior capitalized on a set piece from the top of the box to make the game 3-2 in the knights favor.  

- The game leveled out for a bit before the blue knights gained control of the flow again and Sheima Lara put in the insurance policy for a 4-2 final.  

- All 4 goals were scored by Freshman on the roster.

- Maddie Brill had 1 assist and Sydney Speer had 2 assists

- DCTC had 27 shots in the game but only 8 on goal


Game #2 vs Hawkeye


3-11 L

- Opposite of the first game, Hawkeye controlled the first early moments before 2 minutes in DCTC countered to go up 1-0 early.  The early goal was scored by Freshman Sydney Flannery.

- Hawkeye rallied off 5 in a row before half for a 1-5 halftime score

- BlueKnights started the scoring again in the 2nd half off a Sheima Lara goal to cut the lead to 2-5.  

- Hawkeye rallied for 3 in a row after that to stretch the lead to 2-8 before DCTC scored off the foot of Ashley TeGantvoort to go 3-8.

- Hawkeye punched three more in to finish 3-11 final

- All 3 goals scored by Freshman again 

- Kiley Bigger with 1 assist


Game #3 vs Crown

2-1 W

- DCTC opened the scoring off a corner by Flannery and headed into the back corner by Ashley TeGantvoort for an early 1-0 lead.  

- Game was back and forth with DCTC creating more of the chances in the first half of play but unable to capitalize.  

- Crown scored 5 minutes into the second half to even the game at 1-1

- Mid second half Sydney Flannery played a through ball to Maddie Brill for her first goal of the year and a 2-1 lead.  

- DCTC held on for the win - shots on goal finished 10-5 in favor of the blueknights.  

- Ayanna Iyuma finished the game with 4 saves.
