Rosemount, Minnesota – Dakota County Technical College head women's soccer coach Mark Obarski has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2015 season.
The Blueknights play as an independent school in region 13 of the NJCAA. The team opens the season with a home game on September 2 at 5:00pm versus Rochester Community and Technical College. The team plays their home games at Ames Soccer Complex located on the campus of DCTC.
The Women's team will play a total of 20 regular season games with three of those games being exhibition games versus Viterbo College from Lacrosse, Wisconsin in a home and home series and will go to Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The team plays a challenging schedule with home and home series with other Minnesota schools of Anoka Ramsey (Coon Rapids), Century College (White Bear Lake), Rochester (Rochester) and first year school with Women's soccer Lake Superior College, (Duluth, Minnesota)
The Women's soccer team will also have home and home series with Scott County, (Bettendorf, Iowa) and Iowa Lakes, (Estherville, Iowa). Both Scott and Iowa Lakes are in Region 13 along with DCTC and could be possible playoff opponents.
In addition to the home and home series for the year, the team will host Johnson County from the Kansas City area and Red River from Canada. The team will also travel to Chicago in October to play three games.
